Today is November 15, 2017 and it is our first expected frost date here in southeast Texas in USDA Zone 9a.  This will mark the end of the 2017 Gardening by the Moon series and we will start a new series next year.

With that being said, our weather outlook until Thanksgiving barely dips below 50 degrees!

So, we might still be planting lettuces and radishes through December!  Broccoli and cabbage are starting to appear and we are cutting out foliage or plants that are no longer useful and setting up our plans for next year, which include a chicken tractor for a meat run while they prepare the ground for a new hugelkultur area to be built next fall.

Until then, enjoy the moon and don’t forget to plan for a great start next year!
